Acupuncture Massage & Chinese Herbs – Olga Antonini (a member of British Acupuncture Council) is running a clinic on Thursdays 9.30am until 2.00pm. As well as 1st Wednesday of the month. Armchair Keep Fit -  ‘Green Candle Dance’ Exercise class for those aged over 60. 10.45-11.45am Fridays

Art Group – let’s see just how artistic you are! This group meets every Monday 2.00pm – 4.00pm. There is a charge of £2.00 per class to cover materials.

Benefits & Debt (Outreach)  Advice – An advisor from the Toynbee Hall advisory service comes to the centre every Wednesday 2.00pm until 3.00pm  to help out individuals with problems. Contact reception for information.   more info

Bingo AfternoonA bingo session goes on in the dining room every Tuesday Afternoon 2.00pm – 4.00pm. For further information please contact reception.

Blog Group – hi! it’s us!  Mr. Bloggy strikes again! But we are always looking for more bloggers. You only need have very basic computer skills – we’ll teach you the rest. Contact us   if you would like to try it out. Timings vary.

Bowls (Indoor) – Freshly returned to Sundial, Bowls is now played every Thursday from 1.45-2.45pm. More information from reception or on this link.

Chi Kung – A newer addition to courses, these classes are run in the evenings on Mondays, beginners 5.30-6.30pm, intermediate 6.30-8.00pm. Advance booking is required, contact reception for information.   more info

Computer Skills -Beginner.  If you are a beginner to computing, a class teaching an understanding of basic computer usage with a helpful tutor is held on Wednesday Mornings 10.00-1200. Info from reception   more info

Computer Skills -  Basic computer skills, using the internet, using e-mails etc. These classes meet on  Tuesday, Wednesday  and Thursday afternoons 2.00 – 4.00pm on a ‘drop-in’ basis. Classes are free and run by volunteer Mark Watts. (Mark 2!). Info from reception.   more info This class is temporarily suspended.

Creative Writers Group - All the best articles – And a book in the near future. For further information please contact reception.This group is temporarily suspended awaiting return of the tutor, and is, for now linked with the Digital Photography Group.

Dance Play! – This is a mother & baby exercise and social group for those with children aged 1-4, and meets every Tuesday from 9.30am – 10.30pm. Info from reception.  There is a charge of £2.00 per class. more info

Daycentre - The in-house day care centre helps to cater to the needs of the local elderly and disabled residents. a good job done by all!   more info

Digital Photography - Can you get the best from your camera? This group usually meets on Mondays 1.30pm – 3.30pm and go on many photo shoots. This group is now meeting on Tuesdays 1-2.30pm on a temporary basis.

Drama and Performers Group -  If you have ever wanted to try your hand at acting – this introductory workshop is for you. It meets on Thursdays at 2pm. For further information please contact reception.   more info

Enterprise and Crafts Group – Creating a network to develop entrepreneurial skills for the retired. Meets Wednesdays 1.00pm – 3.00pm. Information from reception.

Gardening – Advice and help with gardening takes place in our garden with expert advisors, Tuesdays 10.00am – 12.o0pm.   more info  Temporarily suspended until approx May.

Golden Girls – Knitting and nattering in aid of S.AGE- for a good cause, helping the needy. The Golden Girls welcome any donations of goods or money, which will all be put to a worthwhile cause.   more info

Green Candle Dance – Suitable for all ages, a gentle way for the more fragile members of the centre to keep fit. Tutors come to Sundial from Oxford House. Groups are held on Wednesdays 1.45 – 2.15.   more info

Hairdressing & Manicure – Hairdresser  Julie Hyland, our talented in-house hairdresser, is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10.00am to 4.00pm.  Advance booking is required.    more info

Hearing Aid Service -A service for those requiring hearing aids is provided every Monday 12.00 – 12.30pm by Audiologists from the Royal London Hospital Audiology Department.   more info

Keep Fit (50+) – Help keep the aging process at bay. Classes are on Wednesdays from 2.00 – 3.30pm . There is a charge of £2.00 per class.  more info

Keep Fit (Ladies Only) – High impact aerobics for all ages. Held every Friday morning 9.30am – 10.30am. There is a charge of £1.50p  per class.   more info

Knitting  & Crafts – Learn to knit your first wooly whatsit. Classes are on Wednesdays from 2.00 – 4.00pm   more info

Line Dancing – Truly country. Leader Joan Thomas will help you to keep in line. This group meets on Wednesdays from 10.00 until 11.30am. There is a charge of £2.00 per class.   more info

Men’s Games Afternoon – Pool, Bowls, Dominos, Cards and other men’s pastimes. This over 50′s group even made items from pewter! I’ll have a tankard please! They are also arranging fishing trips amongst others. They meet every Friday 2.00pm – 3.30pm

Men’s Shed Project – Starting soon. Details later this week

Older Men Moving – Dance and movement class for men over 50. This is a Green Candle exercise project. Thursdays 3-4pm.

Pottery – If you think you would like to throw a pot or two. Classes are on Fridays at 1.30 – 3.00pm    more info

Reiki Therapy – For anyone wishing to experience the benefits provided by Reiki, you will need to pre-book a session at reception. Sessions are held at the Centre on Friday afternoons 12.00 – 3.00pm. Sessions are held by Nicole Bohant in the treatment room.

Street Dance and Hip-Hop. For 8-10year olds. Classes are held every Friday from 3.45pm – 4.45pm. The teacher is The Dance Captain from the Olympic Games Opening Ceremony.   more info

Sundial Singers – Our friendly in-house community choir, singing music of all tastes from gospel to pop. Meets every Thursday 9.45am – 11.45am. No previous experience necessary. more info

Table-Tennis. There is a table-tennis table in our communities garden area. Members and local residents are welcome to sign out bats and balls from reception, but please return them when your game is over.

Tai Chi – Training in Tai Cai is carried out on Thursday from 2.00 – 3.30, and is suitable for all ages and fitness levels. There is a charge for this service of £2.00p per class.

Volunteering – The Sundial Centre is always seeking volunteer helpers to support in many fields of their operation, from admin to blogging, running courses and social groups. Please contact reception.    more info

Weekly Shopping Trips - A weekly trip to a local major shopping location ( usually Sainsbury’s Whitechapel) departs the centre every Thursday and 1.15pm. A charge of £2.00p is made to cover the cost of providing the transport.     more info

Yoga – Mother  & Baby. A mother and baby yoga class is held every Monday from 10.00am to 11.00am. Info from reception   more info

Zumba Dancing – Very fast and exhausting – I dare you to try it. Info from reception.

Zumba Gold -  Low impact Zumba for all ages, Held on Tuesdays 11am-12pm Info from reception. There is a charge of £2.00 per class.  more info

Zumbatomic – This is a mother & child exercise and social group for those with children aged 5-9, and meets every Thursday 4pm – 4.45 . Info from reception.   more info
